Matt is digital native over a decade of experience and a continued passion for marketing and the internet.

He is the co-founder of online businesses Sticky Tickets and co-founder of Free2Speak. He is also the founder of Redback Solutions, a company he started in 1999 and sold in 2009. He has consulted in the development of many other online businesses including Guests Behaving Badly, Seniors Housing Online and List my Resume and was featured in the book, “Secrets of Internet Entrepreneurs Exposed!” by Dale Beaumont.

Sticky Tickets is a national online ticketing portal that allows event organisers to list, promote and sell tickets to their events online. Meeting the need for small to medium event organisers to access online ticketing, simply and affordably, this business is growing quickly with hundreds of organisers using the site across Australia.

Free2Speakis a global directory of speakers who will speak to groups for free. Consisting of up and coming professional speakers, authors and niche experts, Free2Speak allows speakers to build their personal brand while allowing organisations and “speaker seekers” to access a pool of speaking talent.

Born in Newcastle, NSW, Matt gained a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) with first class honours from the University of Newcastle. He completed his honours thesis at the University of Twente in the Netherlands, after winning a scholarship.

He also holds post graduate qualifications in business management from the Australian Institute of Management (AIM). 

Matt believes that the secret of success is to focus on finding a problem and looking for the best solution first, then looking for the associated income stream. He is an active contributor to the business and broader community. Matt is a professional speaker in the areas of online business and digital marketing.

Matt enjoys fitness and has run the Gold Coast Marathon, the 100km Oxfam Trailwalker as well as many half marathons and triathlons.
